Hi, boys and girls! Welcome back to Badanamu Arts & Crafts! We read your comments and counted the votes. This week our friend is… Our little owl friend, Abby! Do you remember my friends, the Handy Helpers? Hi, Handy Helpers! Feeling good today? Great! Okay! Then let’s get started! First, we need paper. That’s right! We’ve got it. Next, we need a marker. Excellent! What else do we need, Handy Helpers? Oh! That’s right! We need crayons. For Abby today, we need three colors. What colors? Let’s see! Light brown for Abby! What else? Of course! We need orange. And last we need happy happy yellow. Handy Helpers, do we need anything else? Okay. Looks like we’re ready! Let’s start today by writing Abby’s name! Can you help with that? Great! Abby’s name is A for /a/. B for /b/. Another B for /b/. And the silly Y for the /i/ sound. Wow! We did it. A-B-B-Y, Abby! Terrific! Let’s get drawing! Now boys and girls Abby is a little tricky. So watch the Handy Helpers carefully! First, we are going to draw a water drop shape. One curved line. Then another curved line. Let’s do a smaller practice first. One curved line. Another curved line. Just like that! Let’s try the real one! One. Two. Wow! You did a great job! Let’s draw the mouth next. What shapes do we need for her mouth? That’s right, Handy Helpers! We need two triangles. One triangle. Two triangles. Okay! That looks pretty good. Now Abby has the cutest little brows. We need to do some wiggly curved lines for that. Watch the Handy Helpers! So cute! I like it. Now how about some eyes so Abby can see? Blink, blink, blink! One circle. Two circles. Alright! We have Abby’s cute, little head and face. But now she needs a body. Let’s draw a big U shape for her body. Ready? Here we go! Okay! We’re getting closer, everyone. Now Abby always, always wears something. The Handy Helpers know! That’s right! She always wears her scarf. We can draw that by adding another easy U shape. Ready? Go! Not quite done yet. Let’s draw Abby’s feet! They look kind of like ovals. Handy Helpers, how many feet do we need? One, two! Very good! Let’s draw them now! One oval shape. Two oval shapes. Great! Next, let’s draw Abby’s wings. Now these are a little tricky. So let’s practice first. First, we will make a kind of flat question mark. See? Just like that. Then we need to add a kind of W shape to go with it. Great! You try it too! Question mark shape. W shape. Now we need to practice for the opposite side. Wow! Practice makes perfect. I think we are ready to try for real. One wing. Two wings. Wow! That’s super. Do you know what time it is now? That’s right! It’s coloring time! Ready? Count with me! 1, 2, 3, color! [The Handy Helpers are coloring Abby.] Wow! Look at her! Abby looks great! Handy Helpers, you know what Abby’s good at. Don’t you? That’s right! Flying! Do you think you can help her fly? Wow! What a good idea! Let’s try some Badanamu magic! Count with me now! 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Badanamu! Wow! Amazing, Abby! Just look at her fly! Okay! Bye-bye, Abby! That’s all the time we have for today, boys and girls. We will be back next week with a new character. Who would you like to learn to draw next time?
